Sedir Island, Kedrai Ancient City and the famous Cleopatra Beach. Kedrai is a Karia city. Later he was tied to the Rhodes state.

Kedrai means cedars. The sturdy tree cedar, especially used for tying the ship's spine, is not known in the island, but in ancient Greek. Kedrai, one of the most important settlements of the Rhodope Convoy, was surrounded by walls. The central part of the city, where towers and walls can be seen on the shore, is located in the Doric temple of Apollo. Only the bases of today have reached the foundation.

In addition to the agora, various building remains and the city necropolis, the eastern part of the island has a theater in fairly good condition facing north. If we do not count the big city settlements like Knidos, in Marmaris-Bozburun region which is called Rhodos Karşısakası, only three of the ancient settlements can see the theater.

During the Peloponnesian Wars between Athens and Isparta, the Isparta general Lysander, who attacked the city in 405 BC due to being a supporter of Athens, seized the island and enslaved its people.

There is a narration related to Cleopatra, which is narrated from the golden yellow sand of the island. The most widespread explanation is that the sands are brought to Egypt by the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra and the Romantic Commander Antonius to meet in the island.

The sand on the northern coast of Adan is a specially formed limestone droplets and is seen only in Crete Island except Aegean and Mediterranean Sea. The sand and the ever decreasing sand that emerged as a result of the island and very special geological formations were protected under the Law on the Protection of Cultural and Natural Assets, No. 2863.
